Jumping Hurdles

On Monday, January 7th we took Lyon to Oahu for another eye check-up. We have good news: His eyes are completely healed from ROP disease! What a relief that we have jumped yet another preemie hurdle!
Lyon has also just made the 11 pound mark and grew 3 inches last month to 22 inches long! On January 23rd he will be 6 months old and is starting to imitate different sounds he hears.
These are the updates for now. I hope everyone had a great time during the holidays!

5 months old!

Lyon is now a little over 5 months old and he has learned how to smile back at you when you smile at him. Although, as you can tell, he doesn't smile on cue yet for the camera.

Lyon is weighing in these days at 8 lbs 11 oz. Almost the size of a holiday turkey.
His ROP (Retinopathy Of Prematurity) hasn't quite resolved itself yet, but things are looking good. Next Oahu appointment is Jan 7th. He makes 5 mos old on Jan 23rd and finally outgrew his preemie clothes!".
