Good Night

At night I lay in bed with one kid on each side until they fall asleep. Lyon was particularly tired last night and asked if we could go to sleep after a couple songs in the dark. We said our good nights and there was a pause of silence in the dark. All of a sudden I hear from Lyon:
"I love you, Kiri"
silence...
"Kiri, I love you"
silence...
"Kiri, Lyon said he loves you. Tell him you love him" I said
"No!" she says
"Lyon, Kiri loves you" I relate the message.
"But she said no" he replies.
"She's just tired. She loves you" I answer.

Robot Lady

I got out of the shower today and Lyon insisted on brushing my hair while it was wet. So I let him. He brushed it every which way, forward, backwards, into my face. He finally finished and exclaimed "There! Now you look like a robot, Mommy."

Lyon told me last night that he has a baby in his belly. Her name is Ayvin and she's coming out on Thursday.

5th Anniversary Surprise

Ariki wins the best husband ever award (sorry ladies). For our 5th anniversary this is the story: After dropping the kids off at my parents, he blindfolded me and drove me somewhere. When we finally got there he took it off only to see us standing in the OWNERS Suite of the new Marriott in Lihue ($800 a night!) on an ocean bluff. The head chef from Dukes, in full uniform, was making us a private dinner. Out on the patio overlooking the ocean and sunset we had dinner with 2 live musicians serenading us!!!! We had lobster and steak, wine and dessert. He had my favorite flowers-tuberose! And to top it all off, he got down on one knee and proposed again with my wedding rings all redone!!! Too much this husband! Love you honey!!!

Funny Lyon

Lyon jumped in his car in the yard and told me he was going to work. I asked what time he was coming home and he said "umm..around 97". He does indeed live in his own world
