KAUA'I VETERANS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL - OUTSTANDING STAFF

Outstanding staff

With heartfelt gratitude we extend our mahalo to you, the staff of Kauai Veteran’s Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Room, OR/RR and OB, for the outstanding service provided to our daughter Marie Legacy Foster on July 23 as she delivered her son three months prematurely. From the moment she and her husband Ariki arrived, you immediately took control of the situation, kept us informed, and applied your skills and training to assist Marie in bringing forth new life. You made quick, decisive decisions at a time when needed. The baby and mother teams that snapped into action performed at the highest professional level; and your performance did not go unnoticed. Two days later the air ambulance nurses who accompanied the baby to Kapiolani’s intensive care unit said that their job was made easier by the superb work done by KVMH. Today we take great pride in sharing our experience at KVMH so that others may know that they can rely on receiving exceptional help in a time of need. Again, to all who assisted us, dear long-time friends and new friends, we salute you and thank you for the wonderful service that you provide our community. Blessings to you as you are in our hearts and prayers.

So Special.

Lyon Tehanana'ia,
Kia Orana and Aroha to you,
You have rang the bell so early and made everybody wonder in silence whats happening. The phone calls, emails travel fast reaching the nation to gather people who cares to pray for the arrival of a new beginning in a moment like this was so very special in my heart. Before the world begin you were on God's mind, and every tears you and me shared is so precious in His eyes.
Hearing your father's voice on the phone was one of the unusual voice I have heard from him.Your dad was so strong to stay calm and steady as he spoke to me not to upset me or himself. The time of arrival of a handsome son, grandson, nephew and a friend a special gift from God.So silence as Lyon Tehanana'ia enter this world. As day and night goes God is always in control. How much I want to hold you in my arms, to talk to you, sing to you and to read stories to you to kiss you just to hold you,but I just close my eyes and pray and that takes me close to you and gives me the comfort, amen!I love you so much, you're so special.Keep smiling we all love you and God loves you too.
Many many aroa and lots and lots of hugs and love from
Grandma Tua

Beauty

Some photos from when Ariki and Marie came to visit me...back when Lyon was still baking.

Almost Three Weeks

Marie called this Sunday evening to share what she, Ariki and the nurse witnessed Lyon accomplish today (tomorrow he will be three weeks old). Lyon was in need of a diaper change and was on his stomach when they saw him push himself up with his arms enough to pick up his head and turn it to the other side (they've seen him try this before but get hung up on his nose) and then he took two small scoots forward. They were amazed! What a strong preemie he is...all the prayers from around the world are working!
